Wrong! In these days of advanced communications and integration, CCTV has a far greater role to play in business...
Your staff should know that you are using the best available technology to protect them in these times of ever increasing violent crime…
While this may be true for dedicated CCTV security systems, Teleprecision champions the application of the technology in a more diverse field. CCTV is a modest one-off capital cost and using it to its full potential will often yield payback within months…
It is true that CCTV has historically produced poor results and has been given a bad reputation. However, the next generation is here and it works… well…
The fundamental goal of any Teleprecision CCTV-based installation is that the End User increases profitability.
Teleprecision’s well-designed products have sufficient built in flexibility and capability to enable highly integrated systems to be designed and installed with a minimum of customer disruption. This combined with highly intuitive, user friendly controls makes any system literally ‘useful’; it is used. Additionally, user training requirements are minimal – even ‘agency’ staff quickly learn system operations.
The term ‘integration’ is critical here; Site Sentinel® scores highly by amalgamating multiple systems; for example, live video monitoring, entryphone, & public address – every ‘integration’ reduces both the capital equipment required and the necessary desk space for controls.
Indeed it is possible to access all these capabilities from a standard PC over a local area network. With the advent of fast inter-site networking, a user at one location can control operations at several others – a single ‘remote gatehouse’ operation, as an example, for a chain of logistics depots is both practicable and financially beneficial. And while reducing operational costs, a Teleprecision system typically gathers both valuable management information and provides audit trails. Highly regulated business sectors, like the waste industry, find this particularly helpful.
The critical element providing Teleprecision’s unique ‘point & click’ camera control technology is its Site Sentinel® Video Management System. This is an IP network-ready server unit that manages all the connections to cameras, ancillary CCTV system peripherals and other IT-based management information systems. Built from completely off-the-shelf hardware components, this device supports the system software developed by Teleprecision’s advanced engineering team over several years at operational sites. Generic hardware alleviates any dependence on single-source items and ensures that, should a component ever fail, spare parts are readily available.
Site Sentinel® can be integrated with all common CCTV peripherals as well as a range of truly unique add-ons designed to extend the use of CCTV in novel ways: clearly, the more varied its use, the greater is a system’s value to its user. The ‘ease of integration’ enables Teleprecision, or its trained CCTV installers, to set up profit-contributing CCTV-based management tools effectively and with minimum customer disruption.
Site Sentinel® is usually connected over an available network (almost any IP WAN or LAN is supported) to a remote control centre, which is essentially a call centre optimized to handle security alerts, remote gatehouse operations, staff access control, etc. The control centre equipment is minimal compared with the number of sites that it can remotely manage. Once again, all the hardware is generic and scalable depending upon the number of remote locations. It is common for a large organization to operate a private control centre; colossal economies of scale and operational cost savings are possible.
